Draft notice

These Terms of Service are a product draft for Hoop Sim (hoopsim.xyz). They have not been reviewed or approved by legal counsel. We may update them as the product evolves.

Agreement

By creating an account or using Hoop Sim, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Hoop Sim is a simulated fantasy basketball league product. The current early-access experience centers on drafting a roster, running bulk season simulations, and reviewing standings and results.

What Hoop Sim is

Hoop Sim lets you run simulated fantasy basketball leagues: snake drafts, simulated seasons powered by our game engine, and season recap style results. Outcomes are generated by simulation and are not tied to real NBA game results for scoring purposes in the way a traditional season-long fantasy league is.

Hoop Sim is entertainment software. It is not a sportsbook, casino, or real-money gambling product.

What Hoop Sim is not

Hoop Sim does not hold, escrow, or distribute league buy-ins, prizes, or payments between users. Any friendly stakes or prizes in your group are solely between you and other players; Hoop Sim is not a party to those arrangements.

We do not guarantee that simulated results will match real-world performance, betting markets, or any external expectation.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. Sign-in is handled through Convex Auth. You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risk for other users.

Early access and product scope

Hoop Sim is in early access. Features, limits, and availability may change without notice. The launch loop is draft → bulk season simulation → results; lineup management, waivers, trades, and other season-long tooling may be added later and may require a paid subscription.

Guest and free tiers may have league limits. Paid GM unlocks additional capacity and subscription-gated features as described in the app. Legend tier checkout is not yet available (Coming Soon).

Billing and subscriptions

GM is a paid subscription processed by Polar. Prices, renewal terms, and cancellation are shown at checkout and in your Polar customer portal. Taxes may apply.

Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. We may change pricing for future periods with notice where required.

Acceptable use

You may not use Hoop Sim to break the law, attack or disrupt the service, scrape or reverse engineer the platform beyond what is permitted by law, impersonate others, or misrepresent Hoop Sim as a gambling or pooled-prize operator.

You may not use the product to facilitate illegal gambling or unlicensed wagering.

Third-party services

Hoop Sim relies on third parties including Convex (backend), Convex Auth (authentication), Polar (billing), Resend (email), and Vercel (hosting and analytics on the marketing site). Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms.

Disclaimers

Hoop Sim is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hoop Sim and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for amounts related to user-to-user stakes or prizes.

The physical mailing address used for CAN-SPAM compliance appears in Hoop Sim marketing emails. We do not publish a separate street address on this website.

Changes

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
